Galesburg Orthopedics provides numerous patient-oriented services to give you the best experience and help make your life a little easier. We extend our services to you by completing disability forms, handling liability cases, accepting patient referrals, and billing your employer for workman’s compensation. To save you time and money, we have in-house technological equipment such as an MRI scanner, Dexa-Scan, and top-of-the-line x-ray equipment. We also provide pre-operative classes for patients who will be having total joint replacements or arthroscopy procedures. These classes allow the patient, family and friends to discuss the risks and complications of surgery and to see some of the equipment the patient will be using while in the hospital. Our goal is to make the patient’s hospital stay as pleasant as possible with a quick and complete recovery. Class time is set at the patient’s convenience.
While surgical services are provided at Cottage Hospital and St. Mary’s Hospital in Galesburg, IL, regular office visits and necessary procedures are also offered at Aledo, Canton, Macomb, and Monmouth. Each staff member and provider at Galesburg Orthopedics shares a commitment to providing the highest quality orthopedic care possible. We take the job of serving you seriously and strive to give you a comprehensive satisfaction from your visit. For a comprehensive list of office visit tips and suggestions, please click here.
Prescription Refills
It is our office policy to refill all medications during office hours only. If you call in the evenings or on the weekend, the answering service will not forward your calls to the physician on call. We need to keep an accurate record of all medications prescribed to stay within state and federal laws and prescribing guidelines. Therefore, when you notice you have only 3 days worth of medications remaining, please call your pharmacist. If you need another refill, the pharmacist will contact us.
If you have problems with or questions regarding your medications, desire a new prescription or to change your pharmacy, then please call us during office hours when the physician and/or nurse will have access to your chart to ensure the best course of treatment. Please have the phone number for your pharmacy available at the time of your call.
If you need a prescription or refill for any controlled substances or pain medications, you will need to carefully read and sign our policy agreement. Please refer to our Controlled Substance/Pain Management Agreement for more information.
